- Bar Ludwig is the successor of Ludwig II, which earlier took the place of Cafe April, once being the most famous gay bar of Amsterdam.
- This venue is now owned by Casper Reinders, who also created trendy places like Jimmy Woo, Bo Cinq and Lion Noir.
- Bar Ludwig is a place where music and visual arts from various underground scenes come together in an eclectic ambiance.
- The front part of Ludwig serves as a bar and has a great terrace. In the back there's a club space, where you can dance, and which opens later in the evening.
